MEMO OF THE MONTH OF AUGUST 2025
The Bible, the word of god really has ways of which it reveals or discovers our condition. Bible has a way of shinning a light on our lives, revealing our strengths weakness and areas of growth. Here are some or few ways it does this:
- Conviction of Sin:- The word of God convicts us of sine and helps us recognize areas where we need to repent and turn back to God Rm 3:20; Jn 16:8-11.
- Bible Revealed God’s Characters to us: As we read the Bible, we gain insight into God’s character, He is a loving God, Just God and a Merciful God. This helps us understand our own relationship with Him and how we can align our lives with His will for our own living to even call upon Him on every issues.
- Guidance for Living:- The Bible provides guidance on how to live a life that pleases God, including teachings on love, forgiveness, humility and more of the virtues. 2Tim 3:16-17.
- Self Reflection:- As we study the word of God, we are encouraged to reflect on our own live, thought and actions, and to compare them with God’s standard. It changes our attitudes totally by divine insights from Bible and people that has met God in different ways. The word of God has transformative power, as we immense ourselves in it, it can bring about changes, growth, spiritually, morally, intellectually, socially as well as physical growth. It is a renewal of life from old to new lives in us—- “If any man is a new creature in the Lord, Old things are past away and behold every thing are made New”. ………
